How to Endure Hardships

Hardships are something we all have to go through, young or old we must all face our written tests. In this post I’ll talk about how to endure and overcome certain hardships but before I go any further I want to let you know that it is truly down to you. Something I say may spark something but its you that must take the action. Know that you can change your circumstance, know that its you who must take the leap of faith.

I titled it endure because thats all we must do when facing a hardship, endure. I see all my past hardships as blessings and all my current ones as blessings, they’re simply a way of learning. A way of growing, personal development takes time and you’ve heard this a million times before but hear it a million and one times ‘what doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger’. So endure, because at the end of it all you gain.

So acknowledge that the current hardship will change you, morph you into a new chapter of life, be aware of this because this incites positivity. Positivity helps when going through a hardship, it’ll help you power through, stay positive and know that the storm will pass. It always does. Something that also helps is journalling, journal how you feel and what you’re going through. Stay headstrong. Putting thought onto paper will create the headspace needed.

With patience you can achieve anything, think long-term, don’t ponder on how long you’ve been going through a certain thing but think on how you’ve been patient throughout the whole of it. Patience is rewarded, always. The tough times will always come and go, so be ready for them, train your mind to stay patient.

Keep the trust levels high, and don’t ever lose faith in the One that lay the test before you. It’s hard and sometimes we feel like giving up but get on your knees and endure. Stay there for a little while, it’ll feel good. It will.

Talk to someone about how you feel; trust another person with your hardship, someone close, a best friend perhaps. And make sure its in person and not over the phone, no superficial device can replace someones care shown through tone of voice / body language. That signal is strong and needs to be received by you. To know that you can trust someone with your hardship is a special thing. As humans we need to communicate how we feel but to the right people.

Remember: Stay strong.
