When it comes to Bang & Olufsen, they never fail to please me with their designs. This one in particular is the Form 2i designed by Steve McGuan back in the 1980's. It hit the streets with a bang and from then on has been a critical success, so much so that it has been included in the permanent collection at the MoMA which was where I first laid eyes on this beautiful piece of design. I've never really owned a pair of headphones, I've only ever had the earphones that Apple have provided with their iPhones. Don't get me wrong I do care about sound, I've just never really come across any headphones that fit and feel as good as these. They're super lightweight which makes them a joy to carry and fit almost perfectly around my head, although I can't speak for most. The metal plates adjust for fitting as you can see. The Form 2i comes in 6 different colours including black, white, red, green, blue and grey. As usual, I opted for the white colour.
Now onto the performance. The Form 2i comes with a built in microphone and standard volume rockers for control. Sound quality on the Form 2i is impressive, almost as impressive as its design. I'm not a total sound enthusiast but they sound really good. I've owned this pair for a good 5 months and they have been a total joy, not experienced any distortion, as of yet. Where the Form 2i really shines is with long sessions they rarely become uncomfortable and are a pleasure for long journeys. The Form 2i retails at £109 and you can take a closer look here http://www.beoplay.com.
I think the Form 2i was a genius purchase, beautifully designed paired with top of the range acoustics. Good job B&O. I highly recommend these for anyone that's in the market looking to purchase some headphones.
