[stag_dropcap font_size="50px" style="normal"]T[/stag_dropcap]he Lake District is located in the North West of England and is Britain's largest national park, famous for its mountain ranges and vast array of lakes. The Lake District is not so far from where I live. One day we decided to drive out there for a relaxed afternoon. We arrived at 5pm and stayed there till 10pm, five hours was enough for a relaxed evening by a fire and an awesome view.
The Lake District offers a variety of fun outdoor activities including watersports and several trails you can hike, it is also home to the highest mountain in England, the Scafell Pike, one I'm definitely going to climb in the future. I would love to climb the mountain peaks and explore all the trails. The Lake District is meant to be an amazing place for stargazing, thats something I've been wanting to do for a very long time, I live in an area full of light pollution and the stars are barely visible.
Our five hours there consisted of a BBQ and melted marshmallows. :P We drove through the national park for about 30 minutes and asked some locals for a spot where we could set up our BBQ. Soon later we were directed to a lake in where we set up shop. BIG thanks to the trusty chefs who did a great job!
I'm glad I finally updated the travel side of my blog, I have so much more planned for the blog coming soon. If you don't want to miss a post make sure you subscribe to the email newsletter located below.
